The last in my Water Colour Series where i will share 3 more ways to Water colour
For this #4 Water Colouring 3 More Ways I am going to share with you , Faux Water Colouring, Block Water Colouring and Background Water Colouring.
The most important item to have when watercolouring is the right Paper. We have 2 options Fluid 100 Paper which is a thick paper designed especially for watercolouring. This Paper allows for wonderful movement of colour and water.
There is also Shimmery White A4 Cardstock which is also great for watercolouring allows movement of water and Ink but not quite as much as the Fluid 100. It does however give a beautiful sparkly background.
For this Technique Faux Water colouring it is simple and straight forward yo give that water colour feel. Just Stamp the image on Shimmery white. Use your Watercolour Painter while ink is still wet to draw colour out and colour the flower.
For this card I have used the Quiet Meadow Stamp set.
This Water Colour Technique is also such a quick but effective way to add interest to your project.
Just ink up a block with your favourite colours Spritz and add to your Shimmery White Card Stock. Left it to soak in for a moment and then add stamps!!
I have used the Framed Occasion Stamp set
Lastly creating a unique background. For this card I have used the Amazing Phrases Stamp set and Happy Hippos from the Sale-A-Bration Catalogue.
If you want to guide your ink when you are Water colouring the best way to do this is firstly add water to your Fluid 100 paper where you want the colour to go. When you add your colour it will only cover the areas that you have already laid water down.
