Colour INKspiration Guest Designer CI#67

I feel so privileged to have joint won  Colour INKspiration Challenge #65 , and to be invited as a guest designer for this challenge.

For this Challenge you can choose from Merry Merlot, Pacific Point, Balmy Blue, and Pear Pizazz.

If you haven’t played before, it is a group of Australian and New Zealand Stampin’ Up Demonstrators. You can play by joining in the Facebook group here which will let you play along, comment and vote for your favourite from the top 5 selected by the crew.
In addition to the challenge colours, you can freely use Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Crumb Cake, metallics and skin-tone blends. If you don’t have the exact challenge colours, you can substitute with your nearest-to colours.

I loved this colour combination and ended up making a few cards and struggled to select one to use to share. In the end I selected this quick and simple card with a lot of white space which is very on trend at the moment.

I used Shimmer Paper and Balmy Blue to water colour a small area in the bottom left corner, I them stamped the Vase with Pacific Point and masked the same before stamping the flowers. I coloured the blooms with Merry Merlot and the leaves with Pear Pizazz. The Birthday wishes are stamped with Merry Merlot as is the mat.

    So clean and simple and elegant, Karen. A great use of the challenge colours. Wonderful colouring and I especially love the subtle wash behind the vase – it breaks up all the white space well without being overwhelming or distracting.
