Do you love creating cute handmade cards with animals, then the Stampin’ Up! Cutest Crew Bundle is an absolute must-have. This adorable bundle features playful cats, dogs, birds and butterflies, making it perfect for creating cheerful cards that are guaranteed to make someone smile.
Today I’m sharing a fun square card design that uses the images to create a sweet animal wreath around the sentiment “Just a Little Hello.” It’s a simple layout but incredibly effective, and perfect for sending a quick hello to a friend.
This bundle has been extremely popular with crafters (and it’s easy to see why!), so if it happens to be on backorder where you are, make sure you sign up for the email notification so you can grab it as soon as it returns.

Designing the Card
For this card I started with a 4½” x 4½” square card base, which gives plenty of space to create a circular wreath design.
To help position the images evenly, I lightly traced a pencil circle using a tin lid that was the perfect size. This simple trick makes it easy to arrange stamped elements in a balanced circle.
Inside the circle I added a soft Pool Party ink blend around the edge. The gentle colour adds depth while keeping the centre light so the sentiment remains the focus.
The sentiment “Just a Little Hello” was stamped in Mhttps://www.stampinup.nz/products/tuxedo-black-memento-ink-pad?demoid=4015937emento Black ink in the centre of the circle, with a few cute paw prints in Pecan Pie underneath for an extra playful detail.
Stamping and Colouring the Animals
The Cutest Crew stamp set includes a delightful mix of cats, dogs and birds, which are perfect for colouring.
I stamped the images using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, which works beautifully with Stampin’ Blends markers.
For this card I kept the colouring simple using Stampin Blends:
- Birds: Daffodil Delight with a touch of darker shading and Pumpkin Pie beaks
- Cats: Pumpkin Pie to create adorable ginger cats
- Dogs: A mix of Pecan Pie and Crumb Cake
You can absolutely add more shading if you like, but even simple colouring gives these characters plenty of personality.
Once coloured, the images were die cut and lightly fussy cut where needed.
Creating the Animal Wreath
The fun part is arranging the animals around the pencilled circle.
I placed them so it looks like they are chasing each other around the card — a bird, cat, dog combination repeated around the wreath. It creates movement and makes the design feel playful.
Before adhering anything, it’s always helpful to lay everything out first so you can adjust spacing and balance.
To add extra detail, I stamped the butterflies from the set between the animals in Daffodil Delight ink.
The animals were then attached with Mini Dimensionals to give the card a little dimension and bring the characters to life.

Finishing Touches
To complete the card:
- The panel was mounted onto a Basic Black mat layer to frame the design.
- Everything was adhered to the white card base.
- A few Natural Matte Dots were added for subtle texture.
Once everything was adhered, the pencil guideline was gently erased.
