For this Tip I wanted to share how easy it was to create your own unique backgrounds
The Simply Scored Scoring Tool is so easy to use and such a wonderful tool.
It is great for scoring your cardstock for easy folding but there is so much more you can also do with it.
Let me share with you my Artisan Tip with Simply Scored.
To create the quilt Style, line up your cardstock and place a marker on the middle point for guidance. Run your stylus down each groove an inch apart. Turn the cardstock 180 degrees and repeat. To finish I place small Iridescent Pearls at each cross. Simple but so effective.
To create an enhanced border style place the card in the top left hand corner score 3 x every 1/8″ on all sides. Alternatively for this background I wanted to add a more layered look without using additional cardstock. So by scoring a couple of times around the outside it looks as though I have more layers.
A wonderful addition to adding more depth and texture without the thickness.
Highlighting the position to create the quilted look.
The Scoring Tool, it comes with a Stylus and an optional Metric Board. There is also markers to ensure you line it up in the same spot each time.
