A blended card using the Whimsical Trees stamp set.
As I am sure anyone knows that follows me I Love Blending. For this card I have used my Blending Brushes directly onto coloured Card stock, Pear Pizzazz. But prior to blending I clear embossed the Whimsical Trees. This meant that whatever colour I added on top the trees would remain the same for Christmas Cheer and Magical Moments.
This really does create a magical appearance. Colouring the outside darker and getting lighter as I moved in, There is also a focal point where I didn’t add much colour at all. Once finished blending if you then wipe with a tissue this wipes any excess of the trees. The background is created by flicking the White Stampin Chalk Marker and adding some dots.

For the inside I have stamped one of the gorgeous trees three times without reinking between each one. This helps to give a 3d look to the stamped images. I have also matted the inside with Evening Evergreen this helps to make the card more balanced.

I loved seeing this card! It is crazy beautiful. I had to give it a try as well. and it turned out pretty great (not quite as stunning as yours, but pretty wonderful, thanks to your idea.) I’m playing with the green Christmas gems as some accent, but it might be too much. (I also tried this with pink on pink without very much success, did you try it in any other colours?)
Aw thanks so much Laurie that is very kind. I am so pleased that you have given it a go and it worked out well!! would love to see it. I have tried other colours This is an old post of mine with a similar technique and different card

Karen your card is beautiful . What color ink did you use for the stamped trees on the inside also what color stampin blends marker was used for the blue dots on the front of the card back ground and on the trees.
Hi Kristin Thank you 🙂 The inside trees are stamped with Evening Evergreen 3 x without reinking. The dots on the front are using the Stampin Chalk marker first I flicked it then I added small dots with it.
Hope this helps x
Karen, your card IS magical! It’s gorgeous!
