Using Alternative colours for Christmas cards

Everyone that knows me, knows I love pink.
Plus I love creating projects in alternative Christmas colours as I am not a great fan of red and green together.
So when this years alternative Christmas Suite Whimsy and Wonder was released and it included pink, I was very excited!
Perfect for this Christmas Trees Whimsy Pretty in Pink

To Create the background I have used the Expressions in Ink Designer Series paper. This has that gorgeous water coloured look and I just used a Blending Brush to add a bit more Polished Pink.
The Trees are Die cut with the Christmas Trees Dies in Polished Pink also. Aren’t they wonderfully bold.

So much gorgeous texture with the rips and roughed edges.

I have flicked the Polished Pink Stampin’ Blend on the background also to add speckles of interest. The two ripped pieces of Designer Series Paper are the Whimsy and Wonder Sheets. To create texture on this card I have roughed up the edges of the papers and ripped these two pieces. This is a look that really appeals to me but of course you can omit this if you like a more clean look.

Inside the card I have stamped off one of the Trees from the Whimsical Trees Stamp set and grouped together. This gives a 3 D look and is a simple effect to achieve.
