Each year during our Artisan Time we get to share 3 Creative Projects with you
I am so happy to be able to share with you my Fresh As A Daisy Artisan Projects. The first project I wanted to share has a very different look to fresh daisies.
This card has many layers with lots of texture and a very vintage feel.
Keeping the colours neutral, roughed up edges, splatter and blending.
There is also highlights of gold with the Distressed Gold Specialty Papers. Watercoloured die cuts from Quiet Meadow also add some wonderful interest.
Also keeping it a little different with this card, the negative of the die cut piece has been used. There is still plenty of layers and texture in keeping with the first card. A layer of embossed Vellum using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder has also been used.
Further down this post I share some of the techniques used.
This photo shows the water coloured Fluid 100 papers to use for the die cuts.
A favourite technique of mine to create unique and soft colours for different elements.
Creating the watercoloured background for the second card with the negative die cut. Using the actual die as a guide to know where to put the colours. With this style of card though it does not need to be exact.
When the die has been run through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine flip it upside down before removing plate to keep intact.
Place small drops of glue on top of the elements you want to remain when you place on the coloured background.
Adhere to the watercoloured background and before lifting die off and using your Take Your Pick Tool pick out the pieces you have aded glue to.
If you like this post I would really appreciate if you could share and comment thank you so much.
