Good Morning Magnolia Using Blends is a project I created when I just felt like having a play with colours. At first I wasn’t sure whether to water colour or to use the Stampin’ Blends. So I compromised and created a water coloured background and used the Blends to colour the flower.
Because I was not adhering to any particular colour theme, I just kept adding a variety and was really pleased how it turned out.
I started with a base of Petal Pink adding a layer of the light pen. I went on to add colour from Flirty Flamingo, Rococo Rose and Rich Razzleberry. The centre of the flower is using Daffodil Delight and Crumb Cake. The leaves are mainly Old Olive with some Granny Apple Green and I think these colours give them real depth.
I Die cut the flower and placed it on a Pool Party colour wash background on Shimmer White paper. This stunning Good Morning Magnolia using Blends is a simple card with the flower being the highlight and main feature. It really didn’t need anything else.
