It was my Step Granddaughters Birthday recently and she turned 10! Wow double figures. I wanted to make her a very special card. The Hey Girlfriend Stamp from Stampin’ Up! set was perfect! The Image I used looks just like her, So Hey Girlfriend Sweet Happy Birthday To You.

Her favourite colours are Purple and Pink so I have used strips of the Hydrangea Haven DSP and the Flowers For Every season. I cut each one at about 2.5 cm and just placed overlapping each other on slight angles. Stitched So Sweetly were the perfect dies to use for the front panel and I used the blending Brushes to add some light colour.
The girl and sweet little pets from Hey Girlfriend I coloured with Blends and Fussy Cut out. The Happy Birthday is from the Pretty Perennials Stampin’ Up Stamp set.

If you look closely at her glasses you can see that they appear shiny like a real pair. The tip I would like to share for that is the Fine Tip Glue Pen when applied over an area will dry shinny and glass like. Perfect to give the illusion of glass! It does take a little longer to dry though so be patient.
I added polka dots to her skirt and bow with the White Stampin’ Chalk Marker, I think it finishes it off perfectly.
To match the Embellishments I have used the Dark Highland Heather Blend to add the colour.

I was really pleased how Hey Girlfriend Sweet Happy Birthday To You turned out and she loved it, especially as it looked so much like her!
