Masculine Birthday

Bold and Simple a great recipe for a masculine card.

A masculine Birthday card in Earthy rich tones. The base is Pebbled Path and a Patterned paper on top of this adds texture. Across the middle on Very Vanilla is stamped Happy Birthday. Top and both of this is large Palm leaves in Pecan Pie.

Creating Masculine Birthday cards have begun to really appeal to me. I certainly am a flower kind of girl and tend to navigate towards that. But bold and simple really does have an appeal and I enjoyed creating this card.
For this card I couldn’t go past the Earthen Elegance Suite, The palm fan in these dies can be used in so many different ways. Phrases for All Stamp Set was perfect for the sentiment a large simple Happy Birthday.

The card base and first layer are Pebbled Path and the sentiment is also stamped in this colour. To give the mat texture I have embossed with the Timber 3D Embossing folder and blended with Pebbled Path.
The fans are cut out of Pecan Pie and Blended with Copper Clay, this really gives them depth and a fabulous earthy tone.
