Spring is Here with Flowering Tulips

The days are warmer and longer and there are so many blossoms I love Spring.

A bright happy Spring card with a gatefold.

It was just such a lovely day that I wanted to create something fresh and spring like. At the supermarket there were stunning tulips and in so many beautiful colours. The gorgeous Tulips stamp set had been unloved for awhile so were perfect to try something new.
I created a simple fun fold Gate card with a window , looking outside to the gorgeous day. Spring is Here with Flowering Tulips.

For the Inside I have also stamped a single Tulip. The images are open so I decided to use my Sweet Sorbet Stampin Blends to fill in the stamped image of the same colour.
This works so well as it quickly adds the depth and shading with a simple colouring.
The card is square 10 x 5 ” and folded into the middle to create the gate.

There is one Die in the co-ordinating Tulips Dies that has a strip of small Tulips. For this card I have Die cut a few of these in different pastel shades and added them to a circle.
Using soft colours and a Vellum background is very contrasted to the Gatefold card, but still has a lovely spring feel to it.
