Two Ways to add Gorgeous Backgrounds

The Splendid Day Suite is perfect for Sending hugs, best wishes, and warm thoughts. The open images and the solid images work beautifully together or separately. When you stamp an open image over a solid image; the images don’t line up exactly, giving them an abstract wash look. 
For these two cards though I wanted to highlight Two Ways to add Gorgeous Backgrounds

For this background I have used Stampin’ Blends on Vellum. This technique is wonderful for creating colourful and unique backgrounds and is super easy.
To achieve this all you do is scribble on the Vellum with the colours you want. Using a Water Painter drop some Isopropyl Alcohol onto the vellum. Not too much as a little goes a long way and as you drop it on you will see the magic happening before your eyes as the colours move around.
I have adhered it to a Basic White Mat before completing the rest of the card.

For this background I have used the same colours but have created the background with a Watercolour Resist. The Water Colour Paper I have used is Shimmery White. Next I White Embossed the images I wanted then added Watercolour. When water colouring add water to your paper first to moisten then add colour that you have watered down with your Water Paper.
