Easy Tips On Adding Texture

Global Stampin’ Video Hop

A greeting card on a white card base. The first mat on top of the base is white and embossed with leaves. The next layer is a Pretty Peacock gold leaf patterned paper that has been embossed with a plaid embossing folder and lightly roughed up. On top of this is is 3 white textured leaves. Behind and on top of this are skeletal light green leaves withgold embossed ares.. There are 3 small gold leaves on top. Under all these leaves is a large bow tied with linen thread. The sentiment runs along the bottom of the stems of the leaves and reads a little note to brighten your day.

This months Global Stampin’ Video Hop was all about texture! This was so exciting for me as it is something that I love doing!!
So for my video I have shared with you Easy Tips On Adding Texture. There are so many ways that you can add texture and I just cover a few. We all get our favourites and mine would often be a quick roughing up of the edges of the card stock.
To highlight some easy texture tips I chose the Changing Leaves Bundle. This already has so much texture to start with!

As you can see with this close up I have embossed a Basic White piece of card stock with the Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder and roughed up the edges lightly.
Next I have embossed the Regal Distressed Patterns Specialty Paper with the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder and lightly rubbed an Emery board over it. Making the embossed areas really pop!
