Fab Instagram Hop this month is all about our Favourite Children’s Book

The little Blue Truck Trucking Along.

I didn’t need to look far for inspiration for this month’s Fab Instagram Hop – Favourite Children’s Book.
My Grandson is car crazy and the Little Blue Truck is certainly a go to book for him.
The Trucking Along Bundle (Online Exclusives) could not have been more perfect.
I wanted to create a scene for the truck from the book and had a go at water colouring the background and was very pleased how it worked out.
The cat was an added cute factor from the Warm Welcome stamp set.

This is a close up to highlight that I have added dots of Melon Mambo and Whisper White to look like flowers. This really adds a lovely contrast to the grass. A tip when water colouring is to let each layer dry before adding the next. So I started light and then added shadow and texture with the added layers.
This was so much fun to make I really enjoyed the creativity. I am sure Reuben will love it for his birthday.
