How to make your Own DSP with Rooted in Nature is created with only 3 colours. I enter when I can a fortnightly Colour Inkspiration Challenge. This Challenge was using the new Cinnamon Cider, Crumb Cake and Real Red. When I looked at these 3 colours I did wonder what I could create and thought I would use the Rooted In Nature Stamps for the first time. To me the colours really did represent Nature so this set was perfect.

DSP is Designer Series Paper and Stampin’ Up! put out some absolutely stunning papers, but I really enjoy creating my own at times. The pattern I have used could be on a larger scale but I only wanted a smaller version to add additional interest with the Real Red strip. For this Real Red strip I used the Greenery Embossing Folder. In actual fact I used 3 different folders with this card, the Pinewood Planks and Tasteful Textile.
The Pinewood Planks I used with the first mat in Crumb Cake roughed the edges and sponged with Crumb Cake. When I had finished stamping the leaves etc I embossed this with the tasteful Textile. Embossing Folders can add so much to a project.
Colours Used:
I love entering these colour challenges as you get the to put colours together that you may not consider. Cinnamon Cider is fast becoming a new favourite I wasn’t to sure at first but it is fabulous.
