Karen Hadler Stamping Bees

Recently I watched this Swipe Technique that Linda Dalke posted and had to go straight to my craft room to give it a go :-) I was inspired with a card lay out from Jacque Williams and am really pleased how this turned out :-) Before stamping the stamp is swiped across the inkpad and this gives you the different depths of colours and I love the effect. I used Fresh Fig for the card base and a strip of the stunning Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper and the ink was Blackberry ... This is one of the wonderful stamp sets available free at the moment with Sale-A-Bration when you spend $110.00 or more, as we live on a life style block with chickens etc of course I had to have it :-). Recently I also watched a facebook live presentation from a fellow demonstrator Paula Dobson that showed us how to use a brayer to colour the background, I fell in love with this technique and of course had to have a go ! With Valentines day fast approaching I of course needed a masculine version for my amazing husband :-) His favourite colour is maroon and his favourite flower is a Sunflower so Stampin' Up! made it very easy to to create the perfect card, using the new Heart Dies in the Be Mine Stitched Framelits :-) If you would like to know more please do not hesitate to contact me...Happy Crafting ...
