If you love fresh colour inspiration and quick card ideas, you’re going to adore this set of handmade thank you cards featuring the brand new Stampin’ Up! 2026–2028 In Colours paired with the stunning Artisan Sketched Garden Designer Series Paper.
After recently returning from a trip (and still a little jet-lagged!), I couldn’t wait to dive into these gorgeous new products—and what better way to start than by creating a simple, cohesive set of thank you cards.
Introducing the 2026–2028 In Colours
This year’s In Colours are absolutely beautiful and incredibly versatile:
- Barely Blush – a soft, delicate pink
- Crisp Cantaloupe – a fresh peachy tone
- Golden Glow – a warm, golden yellow
- Hydrangea Hue – a stunning soft blue (a personal favourite!)
- Peaceful Pine – a rich, earthy green
Each colour brings something unique, making them perfect for creating coordinated card sets or showcasing individually.

Why I Love This Card Design
For this project, I created a set of thank you cards—something I make every year using the new In Colours. They’re perfect to have on hand for customer orders or thoughtful notes.
What makes this design work so well:
- ✔ Simple layout you can repeat quickly
- ✔ Layered Designer Series Paper for instant impact
- ✔ Black & white base that lets the colours shine
- ✔ Mix of coloured + uncoloured elements for versatility
Artisan Sketched Garden Paper – A Must-Have
The Artisan Sketched Garden DSP is a standout because of its versatility.
- The black and white designs can be left as-is for a classic look
- Or you can colour them to match any project or theme
- It works beautifully with all the new In Colours
This makes it one of those papers you’ll reach for again and again.
How These Cards Come Together
These cards are quick, simple, and perfect for batch creating.
Basic steps:
- Start with a note card base
- Stamp your “Thank You” sentiment directly onto the card front
- Cut a 2 ¾” square of In Colour Designer Series Paper
- Layer with a piece of Artisan Sketched Garden DSP
- Add a fussy-cut vase or floral image
- Colour selected images using Stampin’ Blends (or leave black & white)
- Pop up with dimensionals for depth
- Finish with a cute In Colour embellishment (butterflies!)
The result? A clean, modern design that still has plenty of personality.
Tips from This Project
- Don’t be afraid to stamp directly onto your card base—but if you’re nervous, add a layer instead
- Batch your elements (cutting, colouring, layering) to save time
- Try mixing coloured and uncoloured images for contrast
- These colours are perfect for baby cards, thank you cards, and everyday designs
My Favourite Colour (So Far!)
Even though I’m usually drawn to pinks, I have to say… Hydrangea Hue is really standing out for me right now. It’s such a soft, calming blue and works beautifully across so many projects.
Perfect for Customer Thank You Cards
Creating a set like this is not only fun—it’s also practical. Having a stash of coordinated thank you cards ready means you can:
- Send something special to your customers
- Showcase the latest products in a real, hands-on way
- Stay organised and prepared

Layered Vase Design
This card showcases a cluster of sketched vases layered together for a striking focal point. By mixing black and white imagery with soft touches of the new In Colours, it creates a beautifully balanced design with just the right amount of dimension and detail.

Coloured Floral Background
For this design, the Artisan Sketched Garden paper is brought to life by colouring the background in soft blue tones and warm florals using the In Colours. The bold black strip accents add contrast, while the simple sentiment keeps the focus on the stunning patterned background.
