My Step Grandmother turns 100 this weekend a very special Birthday! She still lives at home with a little assistance from my Step mother but she is amazing! I really wanted to make a very Special Birthday Card.
Cathy keeps a beautiful garden and loves Birds so I have combined the Peony Garden with the Birds and Branches Suite. The Wreath is created with the Christmas layer Dies.
The colours I wanted were soft so I spritzed some card stock with Petal Pink then once dry some Shimmer paint also Spritzed ( I will have links for these techniques below) These were used for some Sprigs, Flower and Bird.
Using Thick Whisper White i have adhered a smaller flap card on top of a Thick Whisper White base. Before adhering Sprigs and flower I embossed down each side using the Shimmery White Paste and a Decorative Mask. This really brought some wow to the project.
Keeping the Colours soft with Shimmery White, Petal pink and a pop of Gold. The finished card is beautiful and I cannot wait to give it to her on her Special 100th Birthday!
Measurements for 100 a Very Special Birthday!
- Thick Whisper White base. 10.5 x 14.5 cm. Flap card 7 x 14.5 cm
- Whisper White enough for sprigs, Peony and Bird.
