The cutest Christmas Suite Collection ever!!
Emboss Resist is one of my favourite ways to add some colour and interest! There is just so much you can do and it is like magic when the embossed patterns appear. Have you see the super cute Suite collection Reindeers Days there are so many wonderful products that make up this suite. When I create for Christmas cards or 3D items I often like to use non traditional colours so for my Reindeer Fun with Emboss Resist Colouring, I will be using Pool Party.
Each Monday night I do a live on my Facebook page and my Youtube channel where I love to share ideas, inspiration and techniques.
So for this card I wanted to highlight Emboss Resist. See below for the video on each of these ideas.
Most of the elements of this suite have been used to create this card, only the Reindeer days Designer Series paper was not used on this occasion. As you can see there are some fantastic elements with dies to create this cute reindeer, the circle and the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder! One of my favourites would have to be those super cute real Red & White Adhesive Backed Peppermints.
The deer is created with just 3 dies from the Reindeer Fun Dies very easy but so effective!
The background inside the circle is the Emboss resist colouring technique.
Firstly clean you Basic White piece of cardstock with an Embossing Buddy this removes any oil from your fingers etc where the powder may stick to. Stamp the image in VersaMark, here I have used snow flakes. Cover with WOW White Embossing Powder, shake of the excess and heat with Heat Tool until set. You will know if set as it will be shiny.
More Inspiration with Emboss Resist
Instead of the Emboss Resist piece of cardstock being the background, for this card it is the focus. After being embossed and coloured I just cut into 3 equal sized pieces and adhered to a slightly larger Basic White cardstock mat.
And don’t you love it when the dies can also cut images from the patterned paper? So if you do not want to colour the stamped image just die cut as I have for this card.
