Sending Love with Country Flowers

This months Artisan Alumni Challenge or Stampin Fancy Friday is all about Earthy Tones

When this months challenge was all about Earth Tones my first thought was the Country Woods Suite Collection. Creating Sending Love with Country Flowers was so much fun using colours like Pecan Pie, Crumb Cake and Basic Beige.
The pail with the flowers has a gorgeous rusty look and this is created just using Stampin’ Blends, Crumb Cake and Cajun Craze, you can be quite loose with the colouring for this as the rust etc can take any form and has a messy look.
Stamping the flowers in Pecan Pie Ink on the Pecan Pie cardstock mat adds a subtle but gorgeous background for the framed flowers in the middle.

A greeting card with a Pecan Pie Base. The card is created using Earthy Tones. The next mat is crumb Cake and on top of this is another Pecan Pie mat that has flowers stamped on it also in pecan Pie. There are two gray corner frames bottom right and top left that have in the middle a pail full of leaves and flowers. the leaves are a sift green and a basic beige. On top of this is Petal pink and Pecan Pie flowers and a large boho blue flower. The pail is rusty and the flowers hang over the top of this. Behind the leaves and flowers is a large bow tied with Linen Thread. The sentiment Sending love is White embossed on Early Espresso cardstock and trimmed down. It is near the bottom of the pail towards the right. there are clear gems in 3 of the flowers and also 3 Pecan Pie gems arranged on the card.

Each flower is first coloured with Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends and highlighted with Pecan Pie.
To add depth the leaves that are cut from Basic Beige and Soft Sea Foam cardstock and are arranged in the background with the flowers and pail on top, this gives a lovely 3D look.
Finally there is one pop of colour with the large flower being coloured with Boho Blue, this really draws the eys into the flowers.
