Looking at some different ways to do this technique and ideas on how to use it in your projects.

The Alcohol Vellum Technique-Global Stampin Video Hop is so much fun this month. The topic is Must Try Techniques and I wanted to share this with you. With this technique it is amazing because you get a different result every time!
It can be used as a background on a card or as the feature. Any colour Combinations can be used to suit what ever you are creating.
There will be some amazing ideas on this hop and certainly not one to be missed.
For this card after I created the colours and when it had dried I gold embossed these Delicate Dahlias(FREE with Purchase) onto the vellum. If you want to add extra colour it is recommended to use the Stampin’ Blends on the back of the Vellum.

For This card I have embossed the Vellum after colouring with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. There is also some Whisper White ink on top which I have lightly rubbed over the embossed image to make it pop.
You of course can emboss whatever pattern you desire.

Different Blues were used to create this background. Perfect for the Birds and Branches Bundle. It is so beautiful all the different depths of colour it really is a great focal point.
So as you can see this technique has so many wonderful possibilities.
For these remaining two cards that I have as examples The first one is as a background for the Nature’s Harvest Bundle. And for the Butterfly Brilliance I have used Stazon to stamp on the vellum prior to die cutting. Stazon is perfect for any shiny surface but if you want to add more colour with the Stampin Blends you need to do it on the reverse. Stazon is also alcohol based and the Stampin’ Blends with blur the outlines.
