Well as we know fads always seem to go away and then resurface again and it appears that Rubik's Cubes have made there come back and are very popular again. My son had a party to attend and the gift was a Rubik's Cube so I thought only fitting that the card represented the same :-) Super easy to make but very effective, just coloured squares mounted on a black mat and using our amazing Happy Birthday Die to cut a black and white version to add depth. I saw this technique by Jenny Mcguire and I just knew I had to have a go :-) I have used the All My love Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Catalogue and rather than stamping the flowers I decided to cut out what I needed. A bit of a slow procedure but love the result and it is cost effective enabling two cards to be made ! It is always hard having to make a sympathy card as it is coupled with sadness. Unfortunately I have had to make a few recently but found this soft card using the absolutely stunning Country Floral Dynamic Textured Embossing folder perfect! I really enjoyed having a play with a few of the wonderful options in the Occasions Catalogue and the Sale-A-Bration Catalogues! The card base I is Powder Pink and I used the Dot to Dot Textured Impressions Embossing folder for the background. I selected the DSP from The Floral Romance Specialty Paper, The All My Love Paper , Dies from the Well Said Suite and the Butterfly Elements to Create the design.
