There’s something so special about crafting with products that feel close to home, and the brand-new Moonlit Flora Suite Collection from Stampin’ Up! instantly captured my heart. Inspired by lush forests, ferns, wildflowers, moths and rich earthy tones, this suite feels beautifully “down under” and perfectly suited to New Zealand nature.
In this week’s live crafting session, I created this layered “Thankful For You” handmade card using the Fern & Flora Bundle, coordinating designer series paper, dies, embossing folder and embellishments from the Moonlit Flora collection. If you love nature-inspired cardmaking, detailed die cuts and rich botanical colour palettes, this suite is an absolute dream to work with!
A Nature Inspired Card Full of Texture & Detail
For today’s project, I combined:
- Moonlit Flora Designer Series Paper
- Fern & Flora Bundle
- Berry Burst Flowers
- Secret Sea Cardstock
- Old Olive & Soft Sea die cuts
- Dew Drops embellishments
The gorgeous designer paper does so much of the work for you with its rich fern patterns, tiny florals and stunning moth imagery. I paired it with bold Berry Burst strips to bring in a bright pop of colour against the deep forest tones.
One of my favourite parts of this card is the layered floral die cuts. At first glance, the dies can look a little confusing (I definitely wondered what some of the pieces were for when I first opened them!), but once assembled they create the sweetest dimensional flowers.
Yes… they’re a little fiddly — but completely worth it for the finished look!
